- What is it?
Nha Trang is a coastal city and a center of politics, economy, culture, science and technology and tourism in the province of Khanh Hoa, Vietnam. Before becoming the land of Vietnam, Nha Trang belongs Champa. The ruins of the Cham remains in parts of Nha Trang. Nha Trang was recognized by the Prime Minister of Vietnam as city grade 1 to April 22, 2009. Nha Trang is known as the pearl of the South China Sea, the green jewel because the value of nature, climate and the beauty of it.
Nha Trang is located in the south centre coast of Vietnam which belongs to Khanh Hoa province. It is bounded in the north by Ninh Hoa district, on the south by Cam Ranh town and on the west by Dien Khanh district. Nha Trang is north of Sai Gon about 430 km so it takes about 8 hours by bus or 1 hour by flight from Nha Trang to Sai Gon.

Nha Trang Bay has an area of about 507 km² including 19 large and small islands, of which Hon Tre is the largest island, with an area of 32.5 km2; Hon Noc smallest island is only about 4 ha. Bay has two distinct seasons climate dry season lasts from January to August, the rainy season from September to December; The average annual temperature is 26⁰C; 39⁰C hottest, coldest 14,4⁰C. Ecologically, Nha Trang Bay is one of the rare natural models of systems in bays in the world because it has the most typical ecosystems, rare tropical waters. That wetland ecosystems, coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, estuaries ecosystems, ocean island ecosystems, ecosystem coastal sands. Especially Hon Mun area of Nha Trang Bay has the highest biological diversity with 350 species of reef corals accounted for 40% of the world. Nha Trang is very well-known about its beautiful beachs with fine and clean sand and the clear ocean water with mild temperaturer all year round. Nha Trang is manificent with some quiet island such as Hon Mun, Hon Mieu , Hon Tam, Hon Tre and Hon Chong Vo. Nha Trang is not only famous for its beach but also its Ponagar complex, Vinpearl land entertainment complex with the longest cable cab on the sea, mub-bath services….Nha Trang is favorite place for both local Vietnamese and foreigners.
- How to go?
To visit Nha Tang, traveler could take a flight from Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi or Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh city to Cam Ranh airport. Moreover, tourists have another options to take bus or train from Hanoi , Sai Gon city to Nha Trang but it takes long time.
When travelers go to Nha Trang, they must visit 4 islands: Hon Mun, Hon Mieu , Hon Tam and Hon Tre and dive with snorkel or scuba to observe coral. Visitors also shouldn’t miss mub-bath and visit Ponagar complex to understand more the local culture.
