DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL – CYCLO TRIP – WATER PUPPET SHOW
Xin Chao! Welcome to Hanoi and Vietnam.
Upon your arrival at the Noi Bai international airport, your car and driver will already be there waiting for you with a name board and transfer for around 30 minutes you to your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter for check-in (check-in time is from 14:00. Early check-in depends on availability).
In the afternoon, you will witness the local activities in the Hanoi Old Quarter, a bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers, and around the Hoan Kiem Lake with an one-hour Cyclo-drive. Originally each of the 36 street names’ was related to the products being sold there. You also may discover this place by a walk with great photo opportunities. then you enjoy a traditional water puppet show for local experience.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
After your leisure breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and driver to start your city with the famous Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you have the chance to contemplate the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Afterwards, you set off to the 1000 years old Temple of Literature. This is Vietnam’s first university and dated back to the year 1070 and is now the destination for young students to praise for luck in their upcoming exams. Savor your lunch at a nice restaurant.
After lunch, you will continue your trip to one of the most attractive museums in Hanoi – Museum of Ethnology. At this historical place you will be clearly explained by your guide about all the 54 ethnic minorities with hundreds of beautiful displays. Take also your time to observe the traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground.
Now comes the time to pay a visit to Ngoc Son Temple on a small island of the Hoan Kiem Lake by crossing the The Huc bridge, which name carries the meaning of ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. Listen to its history from the 13th century. The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is closed on each Monday and Friday and annually from 08. September to 08. November for maintenance.

DAY 3: HANOI – SAPA (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
Get picked up early in the morning by your enthusiastic tour guide at your hotel and start your tour for 3 days and 2 nights in Sapa. You will arrive in Sapa by noon time, when you have time to refresh yourself a little and take your lunch with local specialties.
After a short break to refill your energy from a long drive, you will be transferred for 7 km to the gate of Cat Cat village. Here you will discover the local life of the H’Mong ethnic minority, trek down the valley to the foot of the waterfall, where the French built a hydraulic power station and stop at the bridge for authentic photos of this unforgettable moment. You will finish your today trek by passing by breathtaking landscapes and arrive after 3 km at Shin Chai village. Your car is already waiting for you there to take you back to Sapa town.
In the evening you have free time at your leisure to discover Sapa with all its attraction like the stone church, the historical square and lake. Should you be lucky enough and stay here on Saturday, you should definitely not miss out the chance to take part in the love market of the Red Dao.

DAY 4: SAPA – HANOI (B, L)
After your leisure breakfast in your hotel, you start a new trekking route in this mountainous area. Your car will bring you to the starting point in Y Linh Ho. Start your exciting trek for 2 km along the most beautiful valley in Sapa of Muong Hoa, through the mesmerizing rice terraces to contemplate the spectacular landscapes of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. You finish your trip in Ta Van village of the Dzay ethnic minority. The whole trekking route is about 9 km with a duration of 3 and a half hour. Enjoy your lunch with a local family before you get back by bus to Sapa town.
. You have free time at your leisure to buy some souvenirs or just to relax until you head back to Hanoi at around 3.00 pm. You arrive at your hotel in Hanoi at around 9.00 pm.

DAY 5: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B, L, D) (GROUP TOUR)
After breakfast, your guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter and set off for around four hours through scenic landscapes with beautiful rice paddies to Halong Bay. Upon your arrival at the pier of Halong, you will embark on a wooden tender which takes you to your cruise on the bay. Enjoy your delicious seafood lunch and immerse into the fresh air and sceneries of breathtaking islands and limestone karst passing by. In the afternoon you have time for some watersports like swimming and kayaking in the crystal clear water. Depending on the itinerary of your cruise, you also explore some of the limestone caves in the region.
As the sun starts to set, the ship will set its anchor in a tranquil area for the night. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 6: HALONG BAY – HANOI – NIGHT TRAIN TO DONG HOI (B, L)
You are recommended to get up early this morning to enjoy the mesmerizing views of the bay when the sun rises or participate in the Tai Chi exercises for good health. Enjoy your breakfast on board as the ship sails through the bay for an exploration of more remote areas back to the pier. Depending on your cruise itinerary, you may also have the chance for further exploration of mysterious caves like Sung Sot (Surprise cave) or the well-hidden Thien Canh Son cave. On your arrival at the pier, your shuttle bus will bring you back to Hanoi. Then you have some free time for dinner and last minute shopping before you take the transfer to the railway station for an overnight train to Dong Hoi.

DAY 7: DONG HOI ARRIVAL – PHONG NHA CAVE (L) (GROUP TOUR)
This morning you will arrive in Dong Hoi at around 6 am and have some free time for breakfast. After your early breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel in Dong Hoi soon. You take a drive for around one and a half hour, leaving behind you 70 km, to your destination, the amazing Phong Nha cave and Tien Son cave. On your arrival, you embark a local Dragon boat trip along Son river to discover the caves. The first one will be Tien Son cave, or also known under the name Dry cave, one of the most spectacular caves in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.
This cave was by chance founded in the year 1935 by a local inhabitant. It is located at the height of 200m above the sea level with an impressing length of 1 km. On your trip you will explore thousands amazing naturally shaped stalactites and stalagmites in its first 400 m as the light system only last till this distance. The rest of the cave is underground and quite dangerous.
Your discovery lasts for one and a half hour, then it’s time for lunch to refill your energy for the highlight of today, the Phong Nha cave or also called Water cave. This wonderful cave, which was formed around 400 million years ago, has been awarded as World Heritage Site of Quang Binh Province since 2003. Take your time to explore the oldest Karst Mountain in Asia with the longest underground river system of 8 km and height of 50 m.
Your journey in Phong Nha cave brings you an extensive variety of grottoes and chambers such as Bi Ky Grotto, Cung Dinh Grotto… You will return to Dong Hoi city at around 18pm. Overnight at the hotel in Dong Hoi.

DAY 8: FREE AND EASY, CAR TO HUE (Breakfast)

The day is free for you to walk around the city and enjoy the local life. After checking out the hotel at around 12pm, car transfer you from Dong Hoi city to Hue. Your evening will be fulfill with amazing traditional music and enjoy the good food of Hue city. Overnight in Hue city.

DAY 9: HUE CITY TOUR (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
After your leisure breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide at your hotel to start you full day trip in Hue. Your first destination will be the Minh Mang king’s tomb, a complex with 40 constructions of palaces, temples, pavilions, etc. It is considered as the perfect combination of man-made and natural beauty. Head 15 minutes to Khai Dinh king’s tomb, a blend of eastern and western architecture. Your last tomb for today will be Tu Duc king’s tomb, the king with the longest reign during the Nguyen Dynasty. Afterwards you will visit the traditional martial art Van An with arts originated from the Nguyen Dynasty which exercises help you to have a healthier life. Before you head back to the city center to savor your lunch with local dishes, you spend 15 minutes to learn more about conical hats and incense in a traditional village.
Your afternoon is dedicated to the Imperial City of Hue – one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Vietnam. Your visit includes the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Ums, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace and Forbidden Purple City. Your day will be completed with a boat trip on the Perfume river to the famous Thien Mu pagoda. Return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 10: HUE – CAR TO DANANG – FREE TIME (B)
After your leisure breakfast in the hotel, you get picked up by the driver for a mesmerizing journey to Hoi An. Your drive will take you through the Hai Van Pass- one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam. En route, you will have chance to relax at one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, Lang Co beach. Make a stop in Danang for a visit to Cham museum, which preserves recovered reliefs of the Champa reign in a French architecture building. If time permits, you should not leave out a visit of the breathtaking Marble Mountain, a pilgrimage site with beautiful caves, tunnel and temples. The rest of your day is free to relax on the wonderful beach.

DAY 11: DANANG – MY SON – HOI AN (B) (GROUP TOUR)
After your breakfast in the hotel, you set off for your today adventure (around 60 km, about one and a half hour) to My Son sanctuary. This ancient imperial city during the Champa dynasty, (from 4th to 12th century), was the place to hold religious ceremonies of the kings and burial place for Champa royals and national heroes. On your arrival, you will have one and a half hour to discover the 65 architectural Champa temples, spread all over a valley of roughly two kilometers, surrounded by two breathtaking mountain ranges. It was the year 1999, when UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. You should also take some time to enjoy the traditional Aspara dancing of Cham girls.
Then it’s time to return to Hoi An from the Cau Lau boat station. Stream leisurely along the Hoi An river and spend some time to visit Kim Bong carpentry village, Pottery village and Cam Ha fish market.  The rest of your day is free at your leisure to relax or discover the ancient town of Hoi An

DAY 12: HOI AN – DANANG – FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY – HALF DAY CITY TOUR (B) (GROUP TOUR)
After your leisure breakfast in your hotel, you will make your way to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel in the city center for check-in (Early check-in is subject on availability).
In the afternoon, you will visit the War Remnants museum, which was originally opened since 1975, with old military equipment and other items related to the tragic time of Vietnam War. Your next afternoon attraction is the Reunification Palace, which symbolize the end of the war when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates. Take a short walk to the Notre Dame Cathedral, a still active church and favorite place for Vietnamese wedding photos, and the Central Post Office, designed by the world famous architecture Gustav Eiffel. Finish your city tour at the Ho Chi Minh city hall, the most popular photographed building of this city, especially in the evening when the lights turn on.

DAY 13: HO CHI MINH CITY – CAO DAI TEMPLE – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
You will be picked up by your guide at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and head to the Tay Ninh province (around one and a half hour drive) for the visit of Cao Dai temple. This temple is described as Walt Disney of the East with its exterior decorations of multi-color dragons. You can find here the unique combination of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity and Islam.
Then you will make your way for around 32 km to the Cu Chi tunnels. Upon arrival, you will get a short introduction and watch a documentary video about the life of Viet Cong in these tunnels during the war. The tunnels were not only home to thousands of people, but also supplied routes and hospitals for the soldiers. Then you have the chance to discover the tunnels by yourself. Jump in and explore the storage facilities, weapon factories, kitchens, etc. Afterwards, you are offered the choice to try out real guns like AK47 or MK16 at the nearby shooting range. You can then relax with rice tapioca and green tea just like the guerrilla soldiers during the war. Your trip today ends when your car takes you back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 14: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
After your breakfast, you start your delightful tour to the Mekong delta. You arrive at My Tho pier after around one and a half hour. In My Tho, you have some time to visit the Vinh Trang pagoda, one of the best known temples in this region. Then you embark a wooden motor boat and head for 20 minutes to the Unicorn island, passing by natural creeks, amazing fishing ports and stilt houses. On this wonderful island, you will visit a bee farm and relax with a tasteful cup of authentic honey tea. Afterwards, you will spend some time with a walk around the quiet villages and observe the daily activities of rural people in this region.
From there on you jump on a small row boat for a 15 minutes trip, to enjoy the fresh air along the small canals and mesmerizing water coconut tree scenery. For your next destination you will take a boat trip along a canal lined with orchards. Land at a village where the sweet smell of coconut candies is spread all in the air thanks to its plenty of small coconut candy shops and handcrafted items from coconut trees of Mekong Delta.
You enjoy your delicious lunch in a nice restaurant in Mekong Delta.
Your afternoon visit is dedicated to a seasonable orchard with many different types of tasty tropical fruits. Feel free to enjoy the fruits while you are listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk songs. Your last stop for today will be in Can Tho for overnight.

DAY 15: MEKONG DELTA (B, L)
After breakfast in your hotel, you will set off for about 40 minutes to reach the spectacular landscapes of Cai Rang floating market. This market is the largest of its type in the Mekong delta. Do not miss out the chance to board a merchant boat that sells pineapples which come from Can Tho city.
Then you continue for several minutes on the riverine route and take a leisure walk to the visit of a noodle and a rice paper factory.
Your next destination will be a rice processing factory. Here your guide will explain you step by step the process of transforming “rice with a brown cover” to the delicious and beautiful rice grain.

At noon time you will return to Can Tho, where you savor your lunch in a nice restaurant. After your midday break, you will head for around three hours to Chau Doc for overnight.

DAY 16: MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY (B, L)
After your breakfast, you will pay your first visit for today to a local market and the great Nguyen Huu Canh temple. Afterwards, you take an amazing boat trip to a floating village and floating fishing farms. You will arrive at the village of Cham, an Islamic minority people in Vietnam to visit their home of Cham weavers and the local mosque, where Cham children learn Arabic. Fulfill your trip with a five and a half hour transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 17: HO CHI MINH CITY – FLIGHT TO PHU QUOC ISLAND (B)
After your leisure breakfast, you will take the transfer to the Tan Son Nhat airport for a flight to Phu Quoc island. Enjoy the glory sunshine on the white sand beach with crystal clear water. What do you expect more for relax?!

DAY 18: PHU QUOC ISLAND SNORKELING TOUR (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)
After your leisure breakfast, you will be picked up by your enthusiastic guide to start your amazing diving day trip in Phu Quoc. On the way, you will take some time to visit a pearl farm, to learn how true pearls of the giant ocean are made. On your arrival at the An Thoi port, you will embark a boat and pass by famous islets like Pineapple islet, Coconut islet, etc. Then you arrive at the four islets area, where you enjoy a spectacular time with snorkeling. You may also participate in the fishing activities if you feel like. After one and a half hour, you will be served with a delicious lunch.
Your afternoon trip brings you to the beach that could mess its beauty with those of Hawaii or the Caribbean. Enjoy a swim in the crystal clear water, kayak on the beach or just relax in the fresh sea breeze. It’s time to return to your hotel. On the way back, you will also visit the Duong Dong village for some nice sightseeing. End your trip for today with your arrival at the hotel.

DAY 19: PHU QUOC ISLAND – FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

DAY 20: HO CHI MINH CITY DEPARTURE (B)
