DETAIL OF TRIP

DAY 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL – NIGHT TOUR (D) (GROUP TOUR)

Xin Chao! Welcome to Ho Chi Minh city and Vietnam.

Upon your arrival at the Tan Son Nhat international airport, your car and driver will already be there waiting for you with a name board and transfer for around 30 minutes you to your hotel in the city center for check-in (Early check-in is subject on availability).

In the afternoon, you will take a nice cyclo trip around the corner of Vietnam’s biggest city to discover the life for about one hour. Then you have the chance to enjoy a traditional water puppet show in one of the most famous theatres of Vietnam. Your highlight comes in the evening, when you savor a romantic dinner on board on the Saigon river.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR – CU CHI TUNNELS (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

After your breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a 60 km journey to the famous Cu Chi tunnels (around one and a half hour drive). On arrival, you will get a short introduction and watch a documentary video about the life of Viet Cong in these tunnels during the war. The tunnels were not only home to thousands of people, but also supplied routes and hospitals for the soldiers. Then you have the chance to discover the tunnels by yourself. Jump in and explore the storage facilities, weapon factories, kitchens, etc. Afterwards, you are offered the choice to try out real guns like AK47 or MK16 at the nearby shooting range. You can then relax with rice tapioca and green tea just like the guerrilla soldiers during the war. Return to Ho Chi Minh city for a late lunch.

After your short lunch break, you will visit the War Remnants museum, which was originally opened since 1975, with old military equipment and other items related to the tragic time of Vietnam War. Your next afternoon attraction is the Reunification Palace, which symbolize the end of the war when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through its gates. Take a short walk to the Notre Dame Cathedral, a still active church and favorite place for Vietnamese wedding photos, and the Central Post Office, designed by the world famous architecture Gustav Eiffel.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

After breakfast in your hotel, you set off along 70 km for one and a half hour to My Tho city. In My Tho, you have some time to visit the VinhTrang pagoda, one of the best known temples in this region. Then you embark a motorboat to the Turtle island. Stroll along the Mekong river with wonderful natural sceneries and view to fishing ports, stilt houses, etc. Upon your arrival on this island, you will visit a bee farm and enjoy the honey tea. You have also the chance to learn about the coconut candy making process in a local workshop. Continue your boat trip along a canal lined with orchards and covered by the shadows of the water coconut trees. You enjoy your lunch in a local house in the heart of an orchard garden.

After your midday break, you will take a walk through the village, visit fruit gardens. Feel free to enjoy the local fruits while you are listening to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk songs. You have also the choice to participate in the daily activities of the local farmers. Relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the beautiful countryside. Return to My Tho through the amazing Tan Thach canal and take a transfer to Can Tho.

DAY 4: MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY – FLIGHT TO DALAT (B, L)

Enjoy your breakfast in your hotel and take then a further boat trip to explore the lower part of the Mekong river, especially the Cai Rang floating market. This is an original and most bustling place of this region. Try out some local specialties on the market, a quite unique experience that you are hardly to find anywhere else.

In the afternoon, you will visit a local village to get an inside view of the rural life. Try to cross the monkey bridge with only one bamboo stilt. Your last visit for today will be the Can Tho market. Take a three and a half hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh city.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY – FLIGHT TO DALAT (B)

On this morning, you will take a transfer to the Tan Son Nhat airport for a short flight to Dalat. Upon arrival, you will get picked up and head to your hotel (Early check-in is subject on availability). The rest of your day is free at your leisure torelax in one of Vietnam’s most peaceful and beautiful cities.

DAY 6: DALAT CITY TOUR (B, L)

After your leisure breakfast in your hotel, your guide will pick you up and make the way to Van Thanh Flower village for a wonderful impact of the daily lives. Admire all the mesmerizing beauty of flowers planted here to make our life more beautiful! Then you cross the amazing Ta Nung pass to discover the spectacular Nam Ban town surrounded by huge jungles. You will make a stop at a Highlands Coffee Plantation and Weasel Coffee Workshop. Feel free to taste this type of delicious coffee and learn about coffee making process. Afterwards you will take a walk around K’Ho minority village with the highlight as the Silk factory. Your guide will explain in details about the silkworm rearing and the process of silk making. It’s time to savor your lunch in a nice local restaurant.

After a leisure lunch break, you will head to the wild scene of the breathtaking Elephant Waterfall, the widest waterfall of Lam Dong province! Up the cement stairs, you will see the solemn Linh An Pagoda. Praise for happiness and luck by touching the huge Happy Buddha statue. Find out how local wine is made and feel free to try some of the organic Rice Wine. Fulfill your discovery of the countryside with a cricket farm and try out this Vietnamese “specialty!” On your way back to Dalat, if time permits, you will have the chance to visit the Dalat railway station, which is the oldest and the most beautiful railway station in Indochina. Then you will be transferred to the bus station for an overnight trip to NhaTrang.

DAY 7: NHA TRANG 4 ISLAND TOUR (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up to start your amazing 4 island tour in NhaTrang. Head for several minutes to the Cau Da pier (distance depends on your hotel location) to embark a boat to your first destination, Hon Mieu island. On this island you will visit the Tri Nguyen aquarium with many samples of spectacular sea creatures.

Jump on your boat again and set off to Munisland. On this island, you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling. This is also a marine preserve area with colorful fishes and corals.

Come to Mot island where you take lunch while you can enjoy the “Dance and Drinking” on the floating bar.

Your last island, the Tranh beach, offers you the best opportunity for swimming and sunbath. Watersport like jet sky, parasailing or diving are available on your own cost.

Return to your hotel in NhaTrang where the rest of the day is free at your leisure.

DAY 8: NHA TRANG MUD BATH – FLIGHT TO DA NANG, HOI AN (B, L)

After your leisure breakfast, your will be transferred to a unique experience in NhaTrang – a relaxing mud bath. Dim yourself in the pools of mud, apply it also on your face. After 15 minutes, you will take a nice sunbath, so that your skin can absorb the natural minerals from the mud. Then it’s time to rinse through the water to clean up the mud in the hot mineral springs, waterfall or pool. It’s up to your decision. Then you should take a rest of 10 – 20 minutes before you return to your hotel.

Note: You are recommended not to shower with cold water or soap as it will restrict the effectiveness of the mud.

In the afternoon, you take a flight to Da Nang. After that, you will be transferred to Hoi An

Arrived in Hoi An, you will first check in into your hotel. Start your afternoon with a walk around the city to the first attraction, the Japanese Bridge Pagoda. Your trip leads you further to the PhuocKien Hall and Phung Hung Ancient House which is considered the heritage of the town. Afterwards you end your afternoon with a visit to the colorful market and ancient port for an insight into the daily life.

DAY 9: HOI AN – MY SON – BUS TO HUE (GROUP TOUR)

After your breakfast in the hotel, you set off for your today adventure (around 50 km, about one and a half hour) to My Son sanctuary. This ancient imperial city during the Champa dynasty, (from 4th to 12th century), was the place to hold religious ceremonies of the kings and burial place for Champa royals and national heroes. On your arrival, you will have one and a half hour to discover the 65 architectural Champa temples, spread all over a valley of roughly two kilometers, surrounded by two breathtaking mountain ranges. It was the year 1999, when UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. You should also take some time to enjoy the traditional Aspara dancing of Cham girls.

Then it’s time to return to Hoi An from the Cau Lau boat station. Stream leisurely along the Hoi An river and spend some time to visit Kim Bong carpentry village, Pottery village and Cam Ha fish market.  Then you will be transferred to the bus stop to continue your trip to Hue. When you arrive to Hue, a staff will pick you up there and transfer you to the hotel in Hue

DAY 10: HUE CITY TOUR. FLIGHT TO HANOI (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

After breakfast, you will take a boat on the tranquil Perfume river to the wonderful Thien Mu pagoda. Your next destination will be the Minh Mang king’s tomb, a complex with 40 constructions of palaces, temples, pavilions, etc. It is considered as the perfect combination of man-made and natural beauty, where architecture fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.

Then you will have a midday break in a nice restaurant. You will then visit TuDuc king’s tomb, the king with the longest reign during the Nguyen Dynasty. Your afternoon highlight is the Imperial City of Hue – one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Vietnam. Your visit includes the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Ums, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace and Forbidden Purple City.

In the late afternoon, car transfers to the airport to get the flight to Hanoi city. On arrival, another car will pick you at the airport in Hanoi and transfer you to the hotel.

DAY 11: HANOI CITY TOUR (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

After your leisure breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and driver to start your city with the famous Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you have the chance to contemplate the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Afterwards, you set off to the 1000 years old Temple of Literature. This is Vietnam’s first university and dated back to the year 1070 and is now the destination for young students to praise for luck in their upcoming exams. Savor your lunch at a nice restaurant.

After lunch, you will continue your trip to one of the most attractive museums in Hanoi – Museum of Ethnology. At this historical place you will be clearly explained by your guide about all the 54 ethnic minorities with hundreds of beautiful displays. Take also your time to observe the traditional tribal houses reconstructed within the ground.

Now comes the time to pay a visit to Ngoc Son Temple on a small island of the HoanKiem Lake by crossing the TheHuc bridge, which name carries the meaning of ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. Listen to its history from the 13th century. Witness the local activities in the Hanoi Old Quarter, a bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers, and around the HoanKiem Lake with an one-hour Cyclo-drive. Originally each of the 36 street names’ was related to the products being sold there. You also may discover this place by a walk with great photo opportunities.

The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is closed on each Monday and Friday and annually from 08. September to 08. November for maintenance.

DAY 12: HANOI – BAI DINH – TRANG AN (B, L) (GROUP TOUR)

Enjoy your breakfast before your guide comes to your hotel to take you to your exciting trip to BaiDinh – TrangAn on an around 100 km drive through mesmerizing green fields of the local countryside. You reach your first destination, BaiDinh pagoda, after approximately two hours. Admire all the 500 La Han statues and, especially, the biggest bronze Buddha statue with a height of 10m and weight of 100 tons. Savor your delicious lunch with local dishes in a nice restaurant.

After some rest, you will further drive to Trang An, where you embark a fascinating boat trip to visit the cave complex with some famous names like Toi cave, Sang cave, Ba Giot cave or NauRuou cave in all their wild and mysterious beauty along the sceneries of mountains and river.

Fulfill your day with a transfer back to Hanoi.

DAY 13: HANOI – SAPA (B, L, D) (GROUP TOUR)

Today you should get your breakfast early as your guide will come to pick you up at around 7.00 am. Set off for a five hour drive to Sapa on a beautiful way with amazing landscapes of the Red river delta countryside. You arrive in Sapa at noon time and will have a lunch break there. Afterwards, you will trek down the valleys of the famous Cat Cat village and immerse yourself in the daily life of the Black H’Mong people. Continue down the valley to the foot of the waterfall, where the French built a hydraulic power station and stop at the bridge for authentic photos of this unforgettable moment. You will finish your today trek by passing by breathtaking landscapes and arrive after 3 km at Shin Chai village (depending on your fitness and capability you may also stop at Cat Cat village). Your car is already waiting for you there to take you back to Sapa town.

DAY 14: SAPA (B, L, D)

Enjoy your breakfast in your hotel. Then your guide will meet you to start a new exciting day with a transfer to Y Linh Ho village, your trekking start point for today. Your spectacular trek will take you through the small trails and magnificent landscapes of the beautiful MuongHoa valley.

Your way leads you through mesmerizing lush rice terraces towards Lao Chai village of the Black H’Mong people, where you get a closer look in their daily life and traditional culture. You savor your delicious lunch in a local house nearby the great MuongHoa River. Then you cross various unique bridges as you walk through Lao Chai village to Ta Van village. This village is occupied by the Dzay minority with strong Chinese culture. Your guide will be happy to explain you more their cultural life. The total distance of your trek is 9 km and lasts for around 4 hours. Take a bus ride back to Sapa town.

DAY 15: SAPA – HANOI (B, L, D)

This morning you will check out from your hotel to depart for the colorful Bac Ha market, which you arrive after a scenic two and a half hour drive. On your arrival, you are free to discover this biggest cultural market in north west region of Vietnam, with many vendors from different hill-tribe peoples such as Flower Hmong, Dzay, Tay and many other. At the market, you have will find plenty of Bac Ha people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… Try even to interact with the local people to understand more about their daily activities. After lunch, you leave the market for the visit of the H’Mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920. Continue further with a short walk to discover Ban Pho village of the Flower H’Mong. Say good bye to Bac Ha and get back to Lao Cai town to wait for the bus to come back to Ha Noi which you arrive at around 9.00 pm.

DAY 16: HANOI – HALONG (B, L, D) (GROUP TOUR)

After breakfast, your guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter and set off for around four hours through scenic landscapes with beautiful rice paddies to HalongBay. Upon your arrival at the pier of Halong, you will embark on a wooden tender which takes you to your cruise on the bay. Enjoy your delicious seafood lunch and immerse into the fresh air and sceneries of breathtaking islands and limestone karst passing by. In the afternoon you have time for some watersports like swimming and kayaking in the crystal clear water. Depending on the itinerary of your cruise, you also explore some of the limestone caves in the region.

As the sun starts to set, the ship will set its anchor in a tranquil area for the night. Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 17: HALONG (B, L, D)

You are recommended to get up early this morning to enjoy the mesmerizing views of the bay when the sun rises or participate in the Tai Chi exercises for good health. Enjoy your breakfast on board. Today you will embark a day boat to explore more remote areas of the bay. Depending on your cruise itinerary, you may also have the chance for further exploration of mysterious caves like Sung Sot (Surprise cave) or the well-hidden ThienCanh Son cave. Then, you will be transferred to Gia Luan pier or Viet Hai harbor (depending on your cruise itinerary) on the Cat Ba island, which you arrive by noon time. Lunch will be served on board during your transfer.

Your afternoon activities offers you several choices like a visit to the Monkey island, a cycle trip to Viet Hai village through wonderful jungle, a light trek in Viet Hai village or even rock climbing on the island.

DAY 18: HALONG – HANOI (B, L)

After breakfast in your hotel and some delightful time on the Cat Ba island morning landscapes, your day boat will pick you up and transfer to your cruise. Depending on the route of your cruise, you will have different chances of swimming, cave exploration or kayaking. You may also participate in a cooking class demonstrated by the cruise chef. A brunch will be served on your way back to the Halong pier. On your arrival at the pier, your shuttle bus will bring you back to Hanoi.

DAY 19: HANOI DEPARTURE (B)
