- What is it?
Hanoi is the capital with population around 7,6 milions people – the second biggest city by population of Vietnam and the area is 3329 square kilometers. Firstly, 257 BC, An Duong Vuong chose Co Loa is the place to build royal citadel. Because of occupation from Chinese King, Hanoi still played important role with different name. Then Hanoi was capital of Vietnam again from 1010 under Ly dynasty. Name “Hanoi” means a city is surrounded the rivers which established by Minh Mang king in 1831. Hanoi has kept for itself a rich history and injuries from the war but Hanoi is very active with 70% of population under 40 years old so far. It’s centre of economy, culture and politics of Vietnam.

Hanoi is nested along Red River bank at northen part of Vietnam and it’s surrounded 2 other rivers such as Kim Nguu and ToLich river. The distance from Hanoi to the sea is about 90 km to the East.
- Why to come?
This city is the compatibility of modern and classic of architecture and living style. Getting into Hanoi, you go through the rice, corn, vegetable field and go over Nhat Tan brigde, streets suddenly is more narrow and there are more scooters. Most of hotel is built in Hanoi old quarter which is the heart of Hanoi city. In the past, there were 36 streets and each street was selling a special product as Hang Bac – silver street, Hang Gai – silk street….etc. A lot tourists have been in Hanoi, they may vote for Hanoi is one the nicest city in Asia because of Hanoi old quarter, Ho Chi Minh mausoleum , temple of Literture, Ethology museum of Vietnam, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Long Bien brigde. Specially, abundant foods is also couldn’t miss such as Banh Cuon , Pho , Egg coffee , Spring roll…
- How to go?
To visit Hanoi, traveler could take a flight to Noi Bai international airport from Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, China,…..or from Saigon city.
- Activities:
To rent bycicles, scooters, cars in Hanoi is very convenient. Pedaling bycicle around the city will be great in cool weather. The travelers also should visit Hanoi old quarter Hoan Kiem lake by walking tour and try some local foods and drinks.
